Pediatric Occupational Therapy Resources in Spanish.

As a bilingual pediatric occupational therapist servicing the area of Miami, I frequently work with Spanish-speaking families and provide education to them. However, it is through my practice that I have discovered how challenging it is to find educational handouts and OT-related resources that are printed in the Spanish-language.

This is truly unfortunate as I have found that by providing these resources to parents, I typically see a drastic improvement in the carryover of home programs. Additionally, I find that by empowering parents with more information regarding their child’s specific condition or challenges, they are better able to advocate for their child’s needs in the school environment and within the community.

Thus, I have compiled an extensive list of Spanish-language resources that are readily available on the internet for pediatric therapists to use and provide to Spanish-speaking families. Most are in a ready-to-print PDF format and available in both English and Spanish making it easy for a non-Spanish-speaking practitioner to review the content of the handouts. Lastly, I have organized the handouts by topic to make it more user-friendly.

I would like to add that I did NOT create most of these handouts and therefore, I have cited the original author/website.

And to the therapist reading this, GRACIAS from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to access these resources and providing them to the families that need them. You are truly making a difference.

    1. This is so sweet. Thank you so much for the kind words. I just want to clarify that I did not make most of these handouts, I just compiled them together in one resource so that it is more accessible to practitioners. But so glad that you found it useful for your practice. 🙂
